Book Rejection – It’s the road to success!!
If you as an author are feeling a little rejected or left out of the literary world, remember…
Big publishers don’t always get it right!
- Richard Bach’s “Jonathan Livingston Seagull” has sold 40 million but had been rejected 20 times.
- Catch 22 by Joseph Heller, critically acclaimed as one of the best novels published in the last century was rejected 22 times (ironic!).
- Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov sold 50+ million but a publisher rejected it : “I recommend that it be buried under a stone for a thousand years”.
So I guess we authors (and all creative people) have to take rejection on the chin and plod on until you meet the people who see your light !!
